Fellow FAQ

What is Fellow?

Fellow helps you understand and keep App Store features under control. You can browse any App Store country, get notified when your tracked apps are featured, and see historical feature data.

What happened to Switchr?

Fellow replaces Switchr. It keeps the free country switching and adds new features like feature detection and app tracking.

Is Fellow free?

Country switching and essential features are free. Feature notifications and advanced features require a subscription.

Do I need an account?

No account needed for essential functionality. A free account is recommended to unlock more features.

Do I need an Apple ID?

No.

How does country switching work?

Tap a country and browse that App Store as local users see it. You view the store without needing to change your Apple ID region.

Subscriptions issues after switching?

Some services might get confused after changing the country. Switch back to your Apple ID country and things should go back to normal.

Can I buy apps from other countries?

No. Switching countries in Fellow only changes your view of the store. Purchases always go through your actual Apple ID account and region.

What countries are available?

All App Store regions.

How does feature detection work?

We monitor multiple sources to identify featured apps across the Today, Apps, Games, and Arcade tabs, as well as individual stories and collections. Our algorithm is constantly improving.

Can I track any app?

Yes. Yours or any other app you're curious about.

How do notifications work?

We support both email and push notifications. For push notifications, you need to add Fellow to your Home Screen and be running iOS 16.4 or newer.

How often is data updated?

Multiple times a day.

Is my data private?

Yes. We only collect what's necessary and never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy.

How can I install Fellow?

Fellow is a web app. You can use it in your browser, but we recommend adding it to your home screen for the best experience.

In Safari, tap Share → Add to Home Screen.

What devices are supported?

iPhone and iPad running iOS/iPadOS 18 or newer. Desktop support coming soon.
